How Much Does a Wedding Cost in Singapore?

A flat-lay of wedding planning items: a blank notebook, calculator, fabric swatches, eucalyptus and two gold rings
Short answer

A Singapore wedding commonly runs about S$30,000 to S$85,000 — less for a small one, well over S$100,000 at the luxury end (approximate, 2026). The banquet is the biggest line, typically 40-55% of the budget, at roughly S$700–S$3,500+ per table. The one fixed official cost is a civil (ROM) licence: S$42, or S$380 if both foreign; Muslim marriages use ROMM.

“How much does a wedding cost in Singapore?” has no single answer, because the same two people could spend S$2,000 or S$120,000 and both be married at the end of it. What we can do is show the ranges honestly, by item, so you can build a number that fits you.

A few ground rules for this guide: the only figure that is an official, fixed cost is the civil-marriage (ROM) licence — Muslim marriages register through ROMM, which has its own fees. Every other number here is an approximate range from named third-party sources, current around 2026, and marked as such. We are not quoting you, and we don’t earn anything from the figures. Vendor prices move, so treat these as a planning starting point, not a promise.

The short version

Most couples who hold a banquet land somewhere around S$30,000 to S$85,000 all in (approximate, Vows.sg 2026). Below that, a small restaurant lunch or a solemnisation-only celebration can cost a few thousand dollars; above it, a large five-star banquet can pass S$100,000. The single biggest swing factor is your guest count, because the banquet scales with it.

The one fixed cost: the ROM fee

Everything legal comes down to one line: the civil marriage licence is S$42 if at least one of you is a Singapore Citizen or PR, or S$380 if both are foreigners (as of October 2026). Muslim marriages are registered through ROMM instead, where the application fee is S$39 (or S$128 if both are foreigners) for a marriage with the wali’s consent. Either way, a simple solemnisation with no banquet is the lowest-cost route to being married here.

Where the money actually goes

Banquet: the biggest line by far

The banquet typically eats 40–55% of the whole budget. Per table of 10, prices cluster by venue tier:

Card of banquet per-table ranges: heartland S$700-1,200, mid-range hotel S$1,400-2,500, five-star S$2,200-3,500+

Approximate per-table banquet ranges by venue tier, 2026. Source: Vows.sg. Many venues quote ‘++’ (add ~20%).

  • Heartland restaurants and community venues: roughly S$700 – S$1,200 per table.
  • Mid-range hotels: roughly S$1,400 – S$2,500 per table.
  • Five-star hotels: roughly S$2,200 – S$3,500+ per table.

Across 115 venues tracked by Vows.sg in 2026, per-table prices ran from about S$498 to S$4,292, with the median around S$1,400–S$1,600. The venue types and what each suits are covered in our solemnisation and venue guides.

What “++” means for your budget

Many venues quote in “++”, meaning the headline price excludes the 10% service charge and 9% GST — about 20% on top. A S$1,500++ table is really about S$1,800 nett (S$1,500 × 1.10 × 1.09 = S$1,798.50); across 20 tables that gap is roughly S$6,000 you didn’t see coming. Always ask for the nett per-table price before you compare venues.

A sample mid-range budget (illustrative)

This is an illustrative 200-guest (20-table) mid-range hotel wedding, using the mid-points of the ranges above. It is an example to show how the pieces add up, not a quote:

  • Banquet, 20 tables at ~S$1,900 nett: ~S$38,000
  • Photo + video: ~S$3,500
  • Bridal package: ~S$4,000
  • Rings: ~S$3,000
  • Florals & decor: ~S$2,500
  • Car, favours, coordinator, misc: ~S$4,000
  • ROM licence: S$42
  • Illustrative total: ~S$55,000

Change the guest count or the venue tier and this moves a lot — which is exactly why guest count is the lever to pull first.

How to bring the number down

The biggest savings come from the biggest lines: fewer tables, an off-peak date, a heartland or restaurant venue, or a solemnisation-only celebration. We go through each lever in how to save on your wedding.
