Gardens by the Bay Wedding: Solemnise and Celebrate
You can legally marry at Gardens by the Bay in the Ficus Room, a Registry of Marriages and ROMM solemnisation venue booked through marriage.gov.sg, and celebrate at its reception spaces — Flower Field Hall, Waterview Room or the outdoor Silver Leaf — with per-head menus from S$208 to S$268.

Gardens by the Bay is one of the few places in Singapore where you can both legally marry and hold the celebration on the same grounds. The marriage itself is solemnised in the Ficus Room, an official Registry venue, while the party happens in one of the Gardens’ reception spaces among the conservatories and Supertrees. This guide puts both halves together — the ceremony and the banquet — so you can plan a Gardens by the Bay wedding end to end.
If you are weighing it against other options first, see how it sits among the four solemnisation venues and against the wider set of outdoor and garden venues. This page is the single-destination playbook.
Solemnising at Gardens by the Bay: the Ficus Room
You can have your ceremony conducted on site. In the Gardens’ own words, you can “have your marriage solemnisation conducted by The Registry of Marriages and Registry of Muslim Marriages in the Ficus Room (within the Active Garden) at the Family Zone.” That means both civil marriages (ROM) and Muslim marriages (ROMM) can be solemnised here — you do not need to arrange an external solemniser as you would at a private venue.
The practical booking point catches people out: the Ficus Room is a Registry venue, so “Solemnisations (Register via marriage.gov.sg)” — you do not book the ceremony through the Gardens’ events team. You file your marriage application on the Our Marriage Journey portal and select the Ficus Room as your solemnisation venue, following the usual steps in our complete ROM registration guide. Muslim couples follow the ROMM process instead.
As a room, it is modest and comfortable rather than grand: 135 sqm, indoor and air-conditioned, in the Active Garden, with a basic sound system, projector and screen, seating around 40 classroom-style or up to 80 theatre-style. Buggy services are available within the Gardens, which helps for guests and for photos around the grounds.
The fee for the marriage
The legal cost of marrying does not change because you chose a scenic room. The marriage licence is S$42 where at least one of you is a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident, and S$380 where both of you are foreigners — the same figure wherever you solemnise. Gardens by the Bay lists the Ficus Room with a “Get quote” button and does not publish a solemnisation price, so confirm any room booking fee with ROM when you file; for queries the Gardens direct couples to [email protected].
Reception venues at Gardens by the Bay
For the celebration, the Gardens offer three distinct spaces. From its 2026 wedding brochure: exchange vows “against the backdrop of perpetual spring at Flower Field Hall, or celebrate with breathtaking waterfront views at the Waterview Room,” or “host your celebration at Silver Leaf, beneath the silver-hued Supertrees with views across Dragonfly Lake.” Each has its own scale:
Maximum sit-down dinner capacity at each Gardens by the Bay wedding venue.
- Flower Field Hall — set within the Flower Dome, 1,200 sqm, with full views of the blooms on one side and the Marina Bay skyline on the other. It holds up to 1,100 for a standing cocktail, 800 theatre-style or 700 for a sit-down dinner — the grand-ballroom option.
- Waterview Room — 600 sqm, overlooking the Marina Bay waterfront and adjoining Flower Field Hall, so the two can be combined. It seats up to 300 for a sit-down dinner (up to 500 standing, 200 theatre).
- Silver Leaf — the outdoor space, 1,360 sqm beneath the Supertrees, for up to 300 at a seated dinner (up to 500 standing, 200 theatre). Being outdoors, it needs a wet-weather plan the indoor halls do not.
What a Gardens by the Bay reception costs
Gardens by the Bay prices per guest, with a minimum guaranteed attendance rather than a flat room fee. At Flower Field Hall and the Waterview Room, the brochure menus are S$258+ per person (Chinese), S$268+ per person (Western) and S$228+ per person (buffet). The minimum guaranteed attendance is 200 guests at Flower Field Hall and 120 at the Waterview Room. At the outdoor Silver Leaf, menus start at S$208+ per person (buffet) or S$268+ per person (Western), with a 120-guest minimum. All prices are in Singapore dollars and “subject to prevailing GST,” and the packages can change without notice.

Per-head menu ranges and minimum guaranteed headcounts.
Catering, styling and what’s included
You do not get an in-house kitchen. Instead, “menus [are] crafted by your choice of an esteemed wedding caterer from our curated panel,” and the Silver Leaf packages are “offered in partnership with five caterers.” That gives you a range of cuisines, but it also means your catering contract and service standards come from the caterer, not the Gardens — worth checking against our questions to ask every wedding vendor.
A Flower Field Hall or Waterview Room package also bundles several extras the brochure lists: exclusive use of the Magnolia Room bridal suite (for Flower Field Hall receptions only), a Garden Cruiser arrival, a one-night stay in the Garden Pod duplex suite (subject to availability), reserved bridal parking with carpark coupons for guests, and support for built-in audio-visual systems. These are inclusions to confirm in writing when you sign, since packages “are subject to change without prior notice.”
Getting there and around the Gardens
Access differs by space. The Ficus Room is about a 5-minute walk from Bayfront MRT station, with the nearest car park at Bayfront Plaza (172 lots), roughly a 10-minute walk away. Silver Leaf and the Waterview Room are served by the Main Entrance Basement Car Park (420 lots), about a 10-minute walk from Bayfront MRT. For all of them, chauffeur-driven Garden Cruisers can be pre-arranged to ferry guests, and the buggy service helps elderly relatives and your photo schedule across the large grounds.
Frequently asked questions
Can you legally get married at Gardens by the Bay? Yes. The Registry of Marriages and the Registry of Muslim Marriages conduct solemnisations in the Ficus Room at the Active Garden. You register the ceremony through marriage.gov.sg, not the Gardens’ events team.

The reception is priced per guest: from S$258+ (Chinese), S$268+ (Western) and S$228+ (buffet) at Flower Field Hall and the Waterview Room, and from S$208+ (buffet) at Silver Leaf, all before prevailing GST. The marriage licence itself is S$42, or S$380 if both of you are foreigners.
