Guest List and Seating Planner
Add your guests, mark each side and an optional group, and set seats per table. The planner counts heads, divides them into tables (10 by default) and packs each group together where it fits. Everything stays in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere.

Guest list & seating planner
Based on Our Marriage Journey (marriage.gov.sg). As of October 2026. Runs entirely in your browser; your list is stored only on this device and never uploaded.
How it is calculated
- Table count — the total guest count divided by your seats per table (default 10, the standard Singapore banquet round table), rounded up. Set it to 8 or 12 and the count recalculates.
- Seating — guests are bucketed by their group label. Groups are placed largest-first onto tables; a group is kept together when it fits, and split across consecutive tables when it is larger than one table. Ungrouped guests fill the remaining seats.
- Storage — the list is held in your browser’s localStorage under a single key. No account, no server, no network request — the tool works offline once the page has loaded.
A worked example (illustrative)
Enter 46 guests with seats per table set to 10: the planner shows 5 tables (46 ÷ 10, rounded up). Tag 13 colleagues as one group and it fills one table of 10 and spills 3 onto the next — so you can see at a glance where a group straddles two tables and rebalance before you send the venue your final plan.
Limits of this estimate
- It is a planning aid, not a venue floor plan: real capacity depends on table shapes, the stage, the dance floor and walkways.
- Many venues set a minimum number of tables or guaranteed headcount — check your contract (see the vendor questions checklist).
- Your data lives only on this device; it is not backed up — export or note it down before clearing your browser.
- The packing is a simple first pass; final seating usually needs human judgement for family and etiquette.
